KK Inc. ("KK", "we" or “our”) is a company based in Yokohama, Japan. The Japanese society takes privacy and security extremely seriously and we are bound by the Personal Information Protection Act under the Japanese law (the “Act”).

This privacy policy has been compiled to provide our users ("you" or "your") clarification with respect to how your Personal Information (as defined in Article 2 of the Act) is handled on our websites by describing how we collect and use your Personal Information.

When you order or register on our website, you will be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, information required for your payment (e.g., credit card information) or other relevant details required to receive our services.

We use the collected Personal Information to: confirm your identify for your registration and use of our services, ship and deliver the products you order, carry out the transactions with you, provide you with any information related to our existing and new services, maintenance and after-sales service as well as rules and policies (including these Terms of Use, this privacy policy and changes thereto), improve our services and our customers’ overall experience at our websites, protect us or a third party from illegal or inappropriate access or activities and perform any other activities relevant to the purposes of our business. Note that we share the Personal Information with our respective suppliers, since the products you order will be shipped directly from the supplier(s) to your mailing address. We also share the Personal Information with our logistics providers such as DHL for the purpose of delivery of products you ordered.

Who sees your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties Personal Information unless we provide you with advance notice, provided, however, that for the purpose and to the extent necessary to provide and maintain our services, we may share Personal Information with our website hosting partners, our suppliers whose products you order, logistics providers who will deliver the products you order and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business or serving our customers, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We reserve the right to disclose information we collect (including Personal Information) as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings or similar legal process and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on us or to protect us from losses.

Your Personal Information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive or credit information you provide is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored on our servers.

Disclosure, Correction and Suspension of Use of your Personal Information upon your request

Upon your request, in accordance with the Act, to disclose your Personal Information, we shall, without delay, confirm the identity of the information and disclose you such Personal Information or, if we do not maintain such Personal Information, report to you as such in accordance with the Act.

If you request us, in accordance with the Act, to correct the content of Personal Information or to suspend our use of Personal Information based on reasonable grounds in line with the Act, we will conduct an appropriate investigation, based on which we will decide whether to correct the content of or suspend the use of Personal Information, and report the decision to you.

Request of deletion of data pertaining to your Personal Information

Upon your request via email, in accordance with the Act, to disclose your Personal Information, we shall, without delay, delete the data pertaining to Personal Information

Amendment to this Privacy Policy

We will review the operation of handling Personal information from time to time and may make amendments to this privacy policy as necessary. We will inform you of the amendment by uploading the amended privacy policy to our website and, if and to the extent required by the Act, will send you the amended privacy policy by email and obtain your consent.
