This happi's outer layer has kanji characters and symbols, while the inner layer has an ukiyoe-like pattern. You can wear this with any type of clothing, whether it be Japanese or non-Japanese. Sashiko is a quilt-like technique where different layers of cotton cloth are weaved together by a thick thread. Toraichi has used traditional techniques to deliver the best quality possible.
